Pilates in Morristown, VT

Build strength, control, and resilience that lasts

Pilates-informed training for adults and teens who want structured strength and mobility work beyond traditional PT.

Pilates that bridges rehab and long-term strength

Maintain strength & control

It's structured, progressive, and designed to support long-term durability. Whether standalone or after your plan of care, Pilates is a great way to maintain strength, control, and mobility.

Individualized programming on Pilates apparatus

Every session is one-on-one with equipment including reformer, cadillac, and chair. Programming is tailored to your movement needs, training goals, and any limitations or history you bring.

Focus on functional strength and bone health

Pilates isn't just flexibility work. Load-bearing exercises, progressive resistance, and movement variability all support bone density, joint stability, and confidence in daily life and sport.

Common Conditions We Treat

Build a progressive plan using Pilates apparatus

Sessions include reformer, cadillac, chair, and other equipment as needed. We progress load, complexity, and movement variability as you build strength and control.

Continue as long as it supports your goals

Pilates is designed for ongoing use. Some people come weekly for years, others use it seasonally around sport or life demands. You decide what fits your schedule and priorities.

What people say about Pilates care

Feedback from clients who use Pilates as a continuation of care or long-term training support.

So happy with how I feel after a session with Dr. Dwyer! She was able to relieve the pain and strengthen my shoulder so that surgery was not required. I was a little nervous about Covid, but her sanitizing practices made me feel very safe. Her communication, knowledge, experience and genuine good heart made my experience 100% positive. I feel like I've known her for years! Highly recommend Stowe Physical Therapy and Pilates!

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Pilates, pricing, and what to expect during sessions.

Is Pilates covered by insurance?

No. Pilates is a cash-based service and is not covered by insurance. However, it is HSA/FSA eligible. We provide receipts you can submit for reimbursement if your plan allows.

How is this different from a Pilates studio?

Our Pilates is taught by a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation Certified. Sessions are one-on-one, tailored to your movement needs, and grounded in rehab principles. It's not a group class setting.

Do I need to have done PT here first?

No. While many clients transition from PT to Pilates, you can start Pilates without completing PT at our clinic. We'll assess your movement and build a plan based on your current needs.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing you can move in. Grip socks are recommended but not required. We provide all equipment.

How often should I come for Pilates?

Most clients come once per week. Some come twice per week if they're focused on a specific goal or building back from injury. Frequency depends on your goals, budget, and schedule.
